Product Descriptions

The term ‘plug and play’ is only reference used for trained specialists whom will carry out the installation of the replacement headunit. The term ‘plug and play’ should not be understood or taken into account as a product or procedure easily acted out.

 

Photographs on our Web site are provided to assist you in identifying the pieces you require. We endeavour to ensure that the digital representations are as accurate as possible, but please be aware that some variation may exist between the colour displayed on your monitor and the actual colour of the item in question. As with all technology, our products are updated regularly both in the functions it provides/offers and design. As such our website may have some variations in both product discriptions and photos used. Please do keep this in mind if the item received has some slight differences from the picture or discription on our website. We always pride ourselves with selling the most up to date items and changing the website pictures/discriptions to reflect the current models/versions instock is always ongoing.

Mobile phone compatablitly- All our Headunits have Bluetooth function and will certainly offer at least the basic bluetooth functions. With all modern Mobile phones such as but not limited to the following, Iphone and Blackbury are constantly being updated by there manufactures, please keep in mind that the headunit will only be as up to date as the day it was manufactured. Mobile Phones are always getting updated and as such some functions such as phone book function may or may not work. We cannot gaurantee that this function will work on all phones.          

Formation of Contract

The contract is created upon delivery of the goods. All contracts to supply are made under Scottish, British and European law.

The receipt by you of an order confirmation does not constitute acceptance of an order. Prior to our acceptance of an order, we may need to verify relevant information. We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order, or any portion thereof, even after your receipt of an order confirmation, for any reason. We also reserve the right to limit the order quantity on any item and to refuse service to any customer without prior notification.

We pride ourselves in the service we provide, however, we are human and it is possible that errors exist in our online database. Quotations given are in good faith but are subject to availability. If we are unable to supply goods for which we have received payment, will inform you of this and provide you with a full and prompt refund, however some Credit Card Companies can take up to 28 days to show on your account.

In the event that goods are advertised at an incorrect price, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders, regardless of whether you have received an order confirmation email, and whether your payment has been received. In such an event we shall of course provide you with full and prompt refund. Six months warranty is on the condition the installation is made by our appointed installation company; otherwise we do not give any warranty on the models/products if installation is carried out by any other person/s or installation company.

All plug and play products supplied require specialist knowledge and must be accompanied with a receipt from a VAT registered fitting centre as proof of competent installation in the event any faults arise.

 

All products installed or sold are in a brand new unused condition unless otherwise stated/informed at time of sale.

 

In Shop Installation

All products are tried and tested before, during and after installation. It is up to the vehicle owner to check vehicle manufacturer warranty terms for aftermarket installations.  We will advise of all known problems to the best of our knowledge before installing aftermarket products.   Any perishable parts i.e. door clips, window mechanisms fasteners etc. of this nature will be noted during installation, Wise Ice Ltd T/A Car-Vision will not be held liable for these parts perishing whilst work is undertaken.    Any problems which later arise after return of vehicle to owner in other areas of vehicle not involved with modification or install will be subject to labour costs for diagnostics or repair. All electronic parts worked on or around modification areas will be thoroughly shown as working before your departure.  Any faults occurring at a later date in areas worked on or around earlier approved by both parties will be subject to examination before defects are rectified.  

 •Installing your own product or using a professional Installation company? – After installation if the product is 'not functioning', Wise Ice Ltd T/A Car Vision will not be held liable and any labour required will be chargeable at your own cost.

Workmanship/Installation warranted 6 months only.  Each and every diagnostic/repair will be charged.

Pricing and Payment

On our Web site, all prices are in Pounds Sterling. Your credit card company will convert our Pounds Sterling charge into your home currency on your credit card statement. This price may vary slightly from the advertised Euro price due to exchange rate fluctuations. Our exchange rates are updated daily to minimise such variations. Therefore, all prices quoted in currencies other than Pounds Sterling are subject to confirmation.

Full payment is required prior to dispatch. We accept the following Credit/Debit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, and Maestro. Alternatively we can accept payment via PayPal or cheques drawn on a U.K. bank. Cheques must be made payable to "Wise Ice Limited ".

For orders paid for by PayPal or by UK cheque, if payment is not received within on calendar month the order will be cancelled.

Delivery

Orders are usually shipped within 1 -3 working days but if the item is advertised as 'special order' then the delivery time is within 21 working days of our receiving payment. All goods will be delivered within the statutory performance period of 30 days (from the date of payment). If this is to be later we will notify you.

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that their supplied address details are correct at time of purchase, as we cannot be held responsible for incorrect or non-delivery due to customer error and additional delivery charges may apply. We can only ship to the Invoice/Billing address and we will not be able to ask the delivery company to leave the item with a neighbour or leave the goods on your premises without there being anyone to accept the delivery and sign for the delivery. Please note we at Wise Ice- T/A Car-Vision are not held accountable for any financial loses or penalties due to late/damaged deliveries.  

All packages are safely wrapped with appropriate packing materials. In the unlikely event of breakages in shipping, please notify us within 48 hours. We will supply replacements free of charge; however you are responsible for sending the item back to us and the costs. Please note that all goods reported as damaged on arrival “DOA” must be kept in the original packaging as this will be required as evidence of "DOA" at no point should any attempt to disregard or remove any items from the original packaging in part of full as this will avoid any attempts by either parties to make a claim for damage(s).

Cancellations

You may cancel your order prior to shipment, (Working days exclude weekends and public holidays). Notification of cancellation must be in written form (by letter or email), notification by telephone is not sufficient. (This is in accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations 2000). Notification of cancellation may be sent via email to info@car-vision.co.uk, or by post to, Wise Ice Limited T/A Car- Vision, Unit 7 Judge Court, Berryhill Ind Est, Droitwich, Worcestershire, WR9 9AB. You must have notified us and received a returns number from us; any items returned without a number will not be refunded and sent back.

If you choose to cancel your order, the goods must be returned to the Car-Vision Office. Returned goods must be suitably packed to help ensure their safe return - we request that the original packing materials are used for this purpose. Also if we offered free shipping to you, a standard charge of £20.00 to cover our free shipping will be charged. Where goods are returned for reasons other than loss, damage, or error on our part, you are liable for the return shipping costs. A 20% restocking charge may be applied if goods are returned back due to reasons other than being faulty, damaged or incorrectly sent on our behalf. We ask that the goods are returned within 7 days. If you fail to return the goods, we reserve the right to charge for the cost of collecting the goods, and you are legally obliged to make them freely available for collection.

When an order is cancelled according to the procedure described above the full purchase and shipping costs will be refunded to you as long as all conditions are met and the product has not been fitted, registered or has had manufactures security seals broken. This refund will be made promptly and certainly within 30 days, as is required by law. Refund will be made via the same medium as was used for payment (e.g. cheque or credit card).

Online customers 7 days cooling off period

The seven working day cooling-off period starts on the day after you receive the goods.

How to cancel your order? Please inform us in written form –letter/email that you wish to cancel and send to the following address. Telephone cancellation is not accepted.

Who is responsible for returning goods and the cost of doing this?

You are responsible for the return of goods and as such will be responsible for the return carriage costs and appropriate insurance.

The item must be returned in original state without grazing; markings or bruising, Original packaging other than protective film must be returned intact.

All cables must be returned with support cables i.e iPod leads, amplifier connections and any other cables of this nature.

All cables must be returned in its original state without dressing materials used at time of installation.

 For Example; any cables returned with sticky tape attached will incur removal charges. Refunds will be refused if returned items do not meet the above conditions set.

Warranty & Return

We will do our best to help you and correct any matters you are not happy with. Please do help us to deal with your returns by the following process.

Warranty Policy

Car-Vision guarantees that our products are up to your satisfaction.  If a customer chooses to fit the model / product to the car / vehicle please be aware that faulty wiring can cause fires, damage your car and render the model faulty; therefore incorrect installation can damage the product and voids any warranty for repair or replace if down to customer incorrectly installation.

Car-Vision warranty is offered to direct customers only. All customers must obtain an RMA number from Car-Vision prior to any return, replacement, and repair, and they MUST have sent in their warranty card with seven days of receipt of delivery of the product.

Satisfaction Guarantee: For any order that is not to your expectation upon receipt, please contact Car-Vision within 3 working days of receipt. We will find a satisfactory resolution based on return, replacement, or credit. However the goods MUST come back in perfect condition, that is not scratched, damaged, dirty, been fitted to a vehicle or with parts missing, or paperwork missing such as the manuals and the box it was dispatched in, otherwise the goods will be photographed and returned without a refund / credit or exchange.

Damaged or missing products: If any package is visibly damaged upon delivery by the courier. Please accept the package and make a note made on the carrier delivery record. Please notify Car-Vision immediately so that a claim can be filed with the courier. Please hold the merchandise and the original packaging for the courier's inspection and investigation. Failure to take the above actions may risk the receipt of proper compensation. Damaged or missing products are subject to insurance up to the customs invoice value.

Warranty Limitations: The warranty does not cover driver/user incompatibility, normal wear, damage due to accidents, physical force, water, fire, power surge, act of God, and other miss-uses, and incorrect fitting, six month warranty is only with goods installed by our appointed fitters which we will have on record. Please also keep your invoice when our appointed installation team, (fitters) fits the model to your car / vehicle.

Car-Vision guarantees that the goods supplied to the Customer will be free from defects caused by faulty materials or poor workmanship for a period of six months. Under this warranty Car-Vision will, at its option, either repair or give a replacement of equivalent quality or issue credit note to the Customer for any Goods found to be defective because of faulty maintenance by Car -Vision or poor workmanship provided that:

i) the company is notified in writing within 7 days of the Customer first discovering any such defects, and the invoice, from our appointed fitters / installation team, related to the fitting of the model in question must be submitted in writing by regular mail with the complaint to: Customer Services Car Vision UK, Unit 7 Judge Court, Berry Hill Ind Est, Droitwich, Worcestershire, WR9 9AB MUST be dealt with in writing ONLY. And the Invoice from Car-Vision Appointed fitters MUST be included with any Complaints. Any complaints regarding the model we have supplied MUST have the invoice from our appointed fitting / installation team, included in the letter, or we cannot deal with your complaint.

ii) The Goods have been used in an appropriate manner and/or as prescribed in the operating instructions (if any), and have been installed by the appointed installation company recommended by Car-Vision. And/or have not been damaged by misuse/water/fire/over-voltages.

iii) The defective Goods are returned to Car-Vision at the Customers expense.

iv) Examination by Car-Vision Manufacturer of such Goods discloses its satisfaction that such defects exist and have not been caused by misuse, neglect, accident, improper storage installation or handling or by repair or alteration or faulty installation not effected by Car-Vision.

v) The Goods not having been modified or repaired otherwise than by Manufacturer or otherwise interfered with and

vi) The Customer shall pay to Car-Vision the cost (as certified by Car-Vision) of any examination of such goods as a result of which the Supplier denies liability.

Return of Equipment Goods

Return of Equipment Goods will not be accepted by Car-Vision until a Return Material Authorisation (RMA) number is obtained and the Goods have been returned to us at the Customers expense. All Goods must be returned un fitted and in perfect condition, that is in the same condition it was sent out, not dirty, broken, damaged or missing parts and paperwork / manuals, the goods shall be returned back to the customer and no refund or exchange will be given Any material including the official boxes or manuals that are not returned in their original condition they were sent out in: this will incur a charge according to Car-Vision and as already noted on top of this fee, our free shipping will be charged of £20.00 per item returned. Therefore, if a customer opens a product, looks at it and decides they do not want it, the free shipping fee will be charged at £20.00 and will be deducted from the refund, on the condition the returned goods are in perfect condition.

If any items returned which are found to be damaged by the customer no fee will be refunded, and an additional fee of £20.00 will be charged for return to customer the item.

If the terms and conditions are not met and or broken, e.g., a buyer has fitted the model him or herself or not used our professional recommended fitters, you may return the goods direct to the manufacturers if we approve it is considered to be faulty. Again you need a RMA number before you return it. We at Car Vision have no liability if you chose to return direct to the manufacturer and postage and shipping is at the buyers / customers costs.

Return Policy

Return is for defective items only. Customers must obtain an RMA number from Car-Vision prior to returning any merchandise, or the returned items will not be processed. RMA numbers can be requested by communicating with our customer service support team, via email at info@car-vision.co.uk with the details of damages or defects. Merchandise returned without an RMA number will not be processed. The RMA numbers are valid from 21 days after issue. After you get an RMA number, please send the item(s) immediately. Customer is responsible for proper packaging of all returns and costs. All warranties will be void on items that are insufficiently or inaccurately packaged. For your protection, please insure the returned package(s); provide tracking reference and proof of delivery and insured. Items that do not reach us, we cannot refund or attend to. Also a copy of your invoice for fitting from our appointed installation team must be included. If you do not provide the fitting invoice, issued from our appointed Installation Service, we cannot accept returned items.

CORRECT RETURNS & INSURANCE.

SPECIAL PANEL ORDERS for double din products: All sales are final on these Special Panel products as they are not stocked and ordered for the customer. Only if the product is considered faulty and professional fitting by one of our fitters we recommend has taken place will we consider a return. Normal Terms and Conditions apply regarding these special panel products as already lists herein.

Please note to return the item, it must be insured, it is the senders responsibility to make sure it is insured and reaches us safely. It must be sent recorded delivery or signed for, or have a form of tracking / delivery proof. We keep which option open for the best price when you take it to the post office. Please ask the post office for advice on sending at the best price with insurance. All returned items postage needs to be paid by the sender.

Any items returned and refunded will be charged the free shipping which is standard £20.00 fee, only when an item is returned within seven days or receipt and fitting to a / the vehicle has not take place.

Any items returned and our manufacturers find there the model is in full working order a fee according to our cost will be charged to the customer.

 

Please note we at Wise Ice- T/A Car-Vision are not held accountable for any financial loses or penalties caused by or due to any of the following circumstances but not limited to: Damaged items, late delivery, faulty goods.
